A wild card for Dominic Stricker

Reigning French Open junior champion, Dominic Stricker will be in the main draw of an ATP Tour tournament for the first time at the Gonet Geneva Open. The Bernese has received a wild card from the organizers of the Gonet Geneva Open, which will take place from May 15 to 22 at the TC Geneva courts in the Parc des Eaux-Vivs.

Dominic Stricker is 18 years old and is currently ranked 423rd on the ATP. This spring, he defied all the odds at the Lugano Challenger where he won the title. This was only his second tournament on the Challengers Tour after his debut in St. Petersburg early March.

After his performance in Lugano, the time has come for Dominic Stricker to take another step forward, just as Roger Federer did in Gstaad in 1998. There is no doubt that the first steps of the Bernese will be scrutinized by his elder brother. Roger Federer, the headliner of the 2021 edition of the Gonet Geneva Open, has been training with Dominic Stricker in recent weeks.

The organizers of the Gonet Geneva Open will still have the opportunity to issue two more invitations before the tournament begins.
