Alexander Bublik at the Gonet Geneva Open: A Showman with Big Ambitions

Ranked 11th in the world, Alexander Bublik will compete at the Gonet Geneva Open, taking place from May 16 to 23. The Kazakhstani joins Stan Wawrinka and Casper Ruud as headliners of the only ATP tournament held in French-speaking Switzerland.

Having won four tournaments last year and claimed the title in Hong Kong this year, the Kazakh has reached a major milestone in recent months by breaking into the top ten at the start of the year. Considered since his debut as one of the most spectacular players on the Tour, Alexander Bublik is now emerging as a player capable of setting the highest goals on all surfaces, as demonstrated in 2025 by his quarterfinal appearance on the clay courts of Roland Garros and his title at the ATP 500 in Halle on grass, where he defeated Jannik Sinner and Daniil Medvedev, among others.

Having already competed at the Parc des Eaux-Vives in 2022 and 2023, Alexander Bublik will be one of the top contenders to succeed Novak Djokovic as champion of the Gonet Geneva Open.
